I LOVE your style with the fur at the top lemur. How do you do that, could you please do a tutorial? It looks so great, I'm really digging that sketchy style.

Thank you so much! <333
I just do a lot of fast sketchy marks with a brush that varies in opacity with pressure and I use the eyedropper tool to select colours a lot :)
I will try and do a few more tutorials at some point, I just never have any time haha!

Thank you for the reply, wow! Alright, I understand. One more question though, do you lay down base colors first, or do you simply start with the strokes and continue from there? No pressure, friend, I just think your art is awesome :meow: Including your landscape studies. You got awesome skills :dummy:

It depends on whether it's in a background or not. If i'm doing a full painting where the character needs to be opaque then i'll do a block colour then lock the layer and paint over that.
If i'm just doing studies on a plain background then i just paint in patches since it doesn't matter if some background shows through. I guess i do lay down base colours to a certain extent, then play with the shadows and different colours on top. But i think the eye-dropper tool to select colours is key, it saves having to keep choosing slightly different colours.
If you use a brush that you can vary the opacity of using graphics-tablet pen pressure etc. then you can get a wider range of colours while you put the strokes down. Then select from those new colours etc. if that makes any sense haha. Hope that kind of answers it. :')
Thank you <3333 :meow:

really quite good.  I'm always a sucker for a loose brush stroke.

I envy your patience to do these studies. Usually I refuse to draw anything I'm not comfortable with, but that way you'll never learn anything new.

absolutely gorgeous work as always! I really admire your mastery of different anatomies, and how well you can convey emotion in realistic work, even in sketches! it's astounding! :D
