Deer studies by kalambo Deer studies by kalambo
Sketches and studies mainly from the forest webcam ([link] in fact their is a roe on there as i write this) that i did the boar studies from last time. I’ve been seeing lots of roe deer on it recently, 8 at once earlier, and thought i'd sketch them for practice when i have a moment to spare.
There's a mixture of does and bucks but the bucks have antlers covered in fluffy velvet which is quite sweet.

I also sketched the hummingbird chicks from this lovely cam [link] .

Webcams make good life sketching practice for when you can’t get out to see animals C:

I love seeing deer when i'm walking in the forest. They're such beautiful creatures ;w;

Is it okay to use this as reference? I'm designing a human character with a head of a deer, and this would really help me with different angles and poses. :)

I don't mind, but working from photos might be better since you might copy any mistakes I've made if you work from drawings :)
